About the role:

We are seeking a Product Designer (UX/UI & Web) to join our cross-functional product team. This role will lead user-centred design across web and digital touchpoints, translating patient and clinician needs into clear, accessible, and delightful experiences. The position reports to the Head of Product and works closely with engineering, clinical and operations teams.

This is an on-site position at our office based in Richmond, Melbourne.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end product design for web and digital interfaces: research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and handover to development.

• Conduct user research and usability testing with patients and internal stakeholders to validate concepts and iterate solutions.

• Create high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes and design specifications for responsive web experiences.

• Define and maintain design systems, component libraries and accessibility standards to ensure consistency and scalability.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers and clinical teams to balance user needs, technical constraints and regulatory considerations.

• Advocate for inclusive, accessible design that supports diverse patient needs and maintains privacy and clinical safety.

• Participate in sprint planning, design reviews and contribute to product strategy and roadmaps during the contract term.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a product, UX or UI designer with a portfolio showcasing web and interaction design work.

• Hands-on experience with Framer (required)

• Strong skills in user research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping and visual design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).

• Experience building or contributing to design systems and component-driven design for responsive web applications.

• Clear understanding of HTML/CSS and working with front-end teams to ensure feasible, high-quality handovers.

• Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) best practice and experience designing for regulated or healthcare environments is highly valued.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with an ability to present design rationale to mixed audiences.

• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and a user-centred mindset.

Desirable:

• Experience working in healthcare, clinical or patient-facing digital products.

• Familiarity with analytics and A/B testing to inform design decisions.
